Syncord Ltd are currently representing a well established main contractor based in South Yorkshire. Our client are looking for a Graduate or Junior Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in their career.
The company has been established for over 15 years and has a strong client base across Yorkshire and the UK working within a variety of sectors including Education, Retail, Commercial, Residential etc. working on projects valued from £1 million - £60 million
Due to growth they are now looking for a Graduate / Junior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
Key responsibilities include:
Working with the Commercial Manager to ensure successful delivery of projects
Undertaking tender costing analysis, take-offs and procurement schedules
Monthly cost value reconciliations (CVR) reporting
Applications for payment
Identifying, pricing and negotiating variations
Material requisitions to the Buying department
Attend bi-weekly team meeting to approve Sub-Contractor valuations
Final Account agreements
Site visits
The ideal candidate will have recently completed a Quantity Surveying degree and come with experience within the construction industry, however industry experience is not essential.
Training and guidance will be provided within this role.
