Our client is currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer Graduate with a background in construction, ideally with 2 years industry experience, to join their growing team.
This is an exciting position and opportunity where you will be instrumental in developing and implementing new projects.
In this role you will be tasked with bringing together and driving projects forward where you will coordinate a multi disciplined team from inception to completion. You will also mentor staff and subcontractors providing solutions to problems and liaising with all members involved.
The Role
Coordinate projects from inception to completion
Managing site installations on sites across London
Monitoring and managing staff and subcontractors throughout the design, construction and completion process.
Support capital projects in terms of; principal design, specification, procurement, installation and commissioning
Component Specification and purchasing
Project planning
Contractor selection, management and control
Manage cost schedules against budget
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with procedures and H&S
Update and maintain all relevant documentation
Be visible on site and provide 'hands on', operational support on all projects
(Training and guidance will be provided to the successful candidate)
The ideal candidate will have the following credentials.
BEng
2 years experience on site (desirable)
Project Coordinator or Engineering background (desirable)
Open to working with a main contractor in the Construction and Fit Out sector
Ambition to progress to a senior management role
